Name: Alli DiPietro
Social Class: Senior Major: Biology, public health minor, pre-med track Competes in: Open fences, Intermediate flat I have been riding in the hunter/jumpers since I was four. I did short stirrup when I was younger and progressed into the equitation, in which I competed nationally throughout my junior years in the A and AA circuit in shows like Old Salem, the Winter Equestrian Festival, and the National Horse Show. I am so excited to be a part of this team and create fun memories surrounded by my incredible teammates and the most giving creatures! |
Name: Sadie Stott Social Class: Senior Major: Biology, Environmental Sciences Competes in: Limit fences and flat I’ve mainly done the hunters with a touch of equitation every now and then. I competed in IEA from grade 6-12 going to Nationals my last three years where I placed second on the flat for both novice and intermediate as well as placing first in the Holy Innocents Horsemanship test. I also enjoy fox hunting with my mom and just generally goofing around with my friends at the barn! |
Name: Julia Leney Social Class: Junior Major: History, French Competes in: Limit fences and flat I have been riding since age 9, and have shown in both hunters and jumpers since middle school. Throughout middle and high school, I competed in IEA up to the Open level and was my team’s captain my senior year. I currently show in the jumpers on local and rated circuits and have owned a wonderful mare named Wish since I was 15. She’s taught me so much and every ride with her makes me happy. I’m so excited about being a part of the team, and I can’t wait for a great season! |
Name: Delaney Brewer
Social Class: Junior Major: Physics Competes in: Novice flat I began riding at the age of 13 and have been in love with the sport ever since. I have been in Pony Club for two years and I am a C-1 level member. I’ve been in the Eventing and Mounted Games world for four years and went to Pony Club Championships the summer of 2019 for Mounted Games. This is my first time competing in hunt seat and IHSA shows. I was never able to own a horse but, I am very grateful for those who have gotten me where I am now. I am excited to join the equestrian team and make the Tribe proud. |
Name: Noa Zielinski
Social Class: Junior Major: Government Competes in: Limit flat, Intermediate fences I have been riding since I was 4 years old and started showing competitively about 8 years ago. While I have never had a horse of my own, my family made sure riding was always a part of my life and I am so excited to have found a school with such an amazing team to continue with! About three years ago I began showing in jumpers and spent this past summer competing at HITS Saugerties. This is my first time competing in IHSA shows and I can’t wait to see where this amazing team takes me. |
Name: Melanie Ryan
Social Class: Junior Major: Biology, pre-vet track Competes in: Limit flat and fences I have been riding since I was 8 years old and began showing competitively freshman year of high school. I leased several horses throughout high school and competed in equitation and hunter flat and over fences. I was also a member of my barn’s IEA team for many years where I competed at regionals and zones. I’m excited to be part of the William and Mary team and happy I still get to be around horses! |
Name: Emma Evans
Social Class: Junior Major: Government, GSWS Competes in: Limit fences and flat I've been riding for almost 15 years and competing for 9 years, mostly in hunter jumpers and some equitation when my coaches made me do it. I spent 7 years on the Clover Grove IEA team, which earned multiple zone 3 championships and 2 national reserve championships in the last 3 years. Throughout my junior career, I earned 6 SWVHJA year end titles, including a pony medal championship and a sportsmanship award. I look forward to growing as a student and a rider at W&M these next four years, and I'm so glad to be a part of this amazing team. |
